Gary
founded Czubak & Associates to leverage a very successful career
and professional network in Telecommunications and Information
Technology. He is a senior technology executive with a broad CIO/CTO/COO
and General Manager background. Gary has over 25 years of leadership
experience in the telecommunications, transportation, retail, real
estate and professional service industries with startup to Fortune 50
organizations. Gary’s expertise is in Technology & Program
Management, Software & Systems Development and Consulting &
Professional Service leadership in organizations with massive, critical
network infrastructures. He is a transformational P&L, IT executive
who has established the vision, strategy, management and governance of
major technology investments that have enabled Global operations.
Most
recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mr. Czubak
was the chief operating officer for Network Engineering
Technologies with responsibility for leading all of the company’s North
America business functions, corporate development, strategy, customer
solutions and service portfolio decisions. Under his leadership NET
defined and implemented a new business strategy, recruited a management
team, implemented process and systems that positioned the company for
entry into new market segments. With a team of 2000 certified
professionals, NET provided their Fortune clients with quality
infrastructure solutions to over 10,000 locations throughout North
America. Re-launching this national technology services company in 30

Gary
joined NET from BuySide Inc., where he served as Vice President of
Operations during the development and launch of a national online real
estate brokerage business. In similar entrepreneur roles, Gary was a
partner with Calliope, Inc., a boutique telecommunications consulting
company and founder of Czubak Consulting, Inc. His professional service
engagements included interim executive positions with technology
companies and IT strategy development for several clients including the
North Carolina, Department of Public Instruction (K-12) and the
Regional Transportation Authority for Northeastern Illinois (RTA, Metra,
Pace, CTA).
Prior
to consulting, Gary was VP, Information Technology & CTO with
Budget Group, Inc, a world leading rental vehicle company. Gary led
global computer operations and technology infrastructure, consolidated
and implemented new North American call centers, and launched global
online reservations with www.budget.com.
The call center and Internet projects received an “Award for Customer
Contact Excellence” from Customer Interface magazine and recognition as
the best web site in the rental industry by Gomez.com.

Before
Budget, Gary held IT leadership and call center technology positions at
Ameritech (now AT&T) including Director Call Center Technology,
Director Technology Management for Consumer Services, and Director of
Engineering for Audiotex Services. In these and other roles at AT&T
he led critical business and technology transformation projects that
enabled several billion dollars of revenue growth including a multi-year
250,000 hour systems development project that established a common
customer service system for 50+ million annual customer contacts. Prior
to AT&T Gary held leadership and technology roles at MBT.
Gary
currently partners with several solution providers leading Business
Transformation, IT Strategy and CIO/CTO Advisory engagements. He
co-chairs the CIO Special Interest Group for AITP and the Chicago
CIO-of-the-Year-Award presented annually at the Executives Club of
Chicago. Gary received PMP certification from the Project Management
Institute and attended Wayne State University. Along with AITP as their
President, he is an active member of PMI, SIM and TLA in Chicago. His
community service includes prior leadership roles with Junior
Achievement and Kiwanis in Southeastern Michigan.
